Healthy Eating @ Orchards Infant School
At Orchards Infant School, we are committed to promoting healthy eating habits to support the well-being and development of our students. We encourage parents to provide balanced, nutritious snacks and lunches that include plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Sugary drinks, sweets, and processed snacks should be avoided, as we aim to reduce sugar intake and promote healthier choices. Please refer to our 'Healthy Packed Lunch Policy' for more information.
As part of our healthy eating approach, we offer fruit snacks during break times and provide access to water throughout the day to keep children hydrated. School lunches follow nutritional guidelines to ensure balanced meals, and we teach children the importance of healthy eating through classroom activities and discussions.
We ask for your support in reinforcing these habits at home, helping your child understand the value of a healthy diet for their growth, energy, and concentration. Together, we can create a positive foundation for lifelong healthy eating.
